Renewable Electricity Generation
In the first half of 2025, 19.3 TWh of electricity was generated from renewable sources.
In the second quarter of 2025, 8.1 TWh of renewable electricity was generated in Scotland. This is the most renewable electricity generated in the second quarter of any year in Scotland and is a 3.2% increase from the previous high of 7.9 TWh generated in the second quarter in 2024 (Figure 2).
