Gourock Harbour Infrastructure and Vessels Project Group: EIR release

Information requested

Agenda reports and other items considered by the Gourock Harbour Infrastructure & Vessels Project group, plus minutes of all meetings since July 2020. 

This should include meetings of the steering group, working group, and reference group. Specifically, "GA style drawings or 3D images for placing within the current vessels" were mentioned in an earlier response; are these available, together with any other outline designs?

I would also like copies of correspondence between TS, CMAL and local politicians, e.g. councillors and MSPs, about this project, and the latest version of the sponsors requirement statement, as well as the 'further vessel statement’ from CalMac referred to in March 2020.

Material which was helpfully released earlier this year stated that the preferred option would be agreed by Nov 2020 and material for public engagement would be provided by that date; please provide these.

Please also supply agenda reports and minutes of the Network Strategy Group meetings since June 2019.

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exceptions under regulations 10(4)(d) and 10(5)(e) of the EIRs apply to that information. The reasons why those exceptions apply are explained in Annex A.

Annex B has the following;
a) agenda, reports and other items considered by the Gourock Harbour Infrastructure & Vessels Project group, plus minutes of all meetings since July 2020.
*The minute from 17 August 2020 was included within the response to EIR/2020/00081892.

b) agenda, reports and minutes of the Network Strategy Group meetings since June 2019.
* Further clarification was provided in relation to the Network Strategy Group meetings and it was confirmed that only matters relating to the Gourock Dunoon Kilcreggan Infrastructure and Vessels Programme were requested.

c) correspondence between TS, CMAL and local politicians, e.g. councillors and MSPs, about this project, and the latest version of the sponsors requirement statement.
“GA style drawings or 3D images for placing within the current vessels” are not currently available. A naval architect has just recently been appointed and designs don’t yet exist as it is too early in the programme.

With regards your question relating to a preferred option. The material for public engagement is not yet available. A consultation event is planned this Spring, at which point material for public engagement will be available in relation to outline options.
