Working together on gender inequality

The Advisory Council told us that people and organisations need to work together to deal with gender inequality especially:

• the Scottish Government and local councils
• businesses and charities

We support these organisations to do this work.

The Advisory Council think that public organisations must show how they use information about what women and girls need when they make decisions.

Public organisations include the Scottish Government, local government, the NHS and the police.

We are thinking about if we could change the law to do this or if there are other, better ways to do this.

A new team of people in the Scottish Government are helping public organisations support diverse women and girls and other equality groups.
