Education and childcare

Giving women and girls the same choices and chances as men and boys.

Women do more childcare than men. To make this be more equal and fairer:

we set up a group called the Gender Equality Taskforce in Education and Learning

Gender equality means treating everyone fairly whether they are male, female or see themselves in a different way.

we fund more than 1 thousand hours of education and childcare to all 3 and 4 year olds and some 2 year olds

This education and childcare:

helps children to learn
- gives people that care for children more time to do other things
- helps women to work or study if they want to
- helps women to have better wellbeing – feeling comfortable, healthy and happy
