Adult social care support and community health: draft Scottish learning and improvement framework
A draft Scottish learning and improvement framework for adult social care support and community health (SLIF) to support an approach to improvement which builds on learning, manages quality, and will track improvement through the outcomes that matter to people.
2. Interface with the Wider System
The SLIF has been developed during a period of ongoing reform in health, social care and social work. This reform includes the development of a Primary Care reform programme, known as the Route Map and the development of a National Social Work Agency to provide a single national body with oversight of social work education, training and professional development, and the improvement of social work services.
The reform work in Primary Care and social work involves a broad range of stakeholders and partners, and will include identifying strategic priorities that will both shape and be reflected in further versions of the SLIF.
Providing clarity on shared national priorities will support those working together across service boundaries to improve outcomes for people. Together, the Route Map for Primary Care and the National Social Work Agency will drive improvement that supports progress towards the SLIF outcomes.
