Display restrictions to products and prices for herbal smoking products, heated tobacco devices, vaping and nicotine products in Scotland - Partial Business and Regulatory Impact Assessment

Introduction

This partial Business and Regulatory Impact Assessment (BRIA) sets out the Scottish Government’s initial assessment of the business and regulatory impact of the proposals to regulate the display of vaping products, nicotine products, herbal smoking products and heated tobacco devices detailed in the Tobacco and vapes: packaging, appearance and display UK-wide consultation.

This partial BRIA is intended to provide a structured framework to support engagement with stakeholders as part of the consultation process and to help inform the final BRIA.

To note that the UK Government, Welsh Government and Northern Ireland Executive are also consulting on proposals on the display of the above products. This partial BRIA focuses on Scotland only.
