Overview
This guidance sets out the considerations to support children and young people’s wellbeing, learning needs and support for transition. The guidance makes some reference to blended learning, which remains a contingency in the event of a further outbreak of COVID-19. However, the guidance can be used to support a full return to school.
It is to help local authorities, early learning centres and schools continue to support children and young people's learning during the coronavirus outbreak.
It is also relevant to school partners, such as Community Learning and Development (CLD) - youth work and adult learning, the third sector, colleges and universities.
The guidance should be read alongside Coronavirus (COVID-19): strategic framework for reopening schools, early learning and childcare provision and Coronavirus (COVID-19): Guidance on preparing for the start of the new school term in August 2020.
Information for parents and carers on the reopening of schools and early learning centres is on the Parent Club website.
