Coronavirus (COVID-19): framework for the recovery of cancer surgery

Framework approved by the National Cancer Recovery Group for the recovery of cancer surgery during the coronavirus pandemic.

During wave one of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic in Scotland, the Scottish Government convened a National Cancer Treatment Response Group  to lead on national guidance for care of cancer patients during that period.

Clinical guidelines for cancer treatment were published on the 28 April 2020 (updated from the 20 of April version).

This ‘Framework for Recovery of Cancer Surgery’ builds on that initial guidance and has been formulated by the Scottish Government COVID-19 Cancer Treatment Response Group. This Framework should now be applied across NHS Scotland.
