This is a selection of the materials we have used in the development of the Route Map. It is not exhaustive, the volume of scientific literature is extensive and continually growing. We also draw upon the published papers produced by SAGE and its associated subgroups. Other SG publications on equalities and the economy for example, will also contain relevant literature which may not be listed here.

Close contact occupations
People in occupations involving numerous social contacts of longer duration and close proximity may be at increased risk of both contracting and spreading COVID-19. Examples of potentially higher risk occupations may include: bus and taxi drivers, social care and healthcare workers and people working in some retail, catering, security, and manufacturing settings.
