Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

All recorded materials held by the Scottish Government that relate to communications between the government and the following organisations (or public relations firms acting on their behalf) in relation to the Highland Council Short-Term Letting Licensing scheme. This could include, but should not be limited to, emails, meeting minutes, presentations, and briefing notes.

  • Association of Scotland's Self-Caterers (ASSC)
  • Airbnb
  • Scottish Tourism Alliance
  • Visit Scotland
  • Cairngorm National Park Alliance
  • Federation of Small Businesses

I am interested in all materials generated from August 2021 onwards.

As the request has breached our correspondence system size limit, I have sent a copy of all attachments to the main document to your email.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, which we have done, some exemptions under section 38 (1) (b) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested. An exemption under section 38 (1) (b) applies to a small amount of information requested because it is personal information/data. This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test' so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
