Children and young people mental health services: school counselling and community support
Analysis of information provided by local councils on school counselling services and community mental health support in their area from July 2023 to March 2024.
Overview
We fund local councils to provide access to counselling services in secondary schools, and community-based mental health support for children, young people and their families.
This report covers an interim nine month period as we transition from six-monthly to annual reporting aligned to the financial year.
This makes direct comparison with previous data challenging.
The diverse nature of the services involved in meeting the needs of different communities means that they record data in various ways. This means there are some inconsistencies with some subtotals and totals not precisely matching.
