9 the world age-standardised incidence rate for cervical cancer has been used to enable comparison with the WHO target and internationally. This may however, underestimate Scotland’s incidence rate due to differing demographic profiles

11 Please note, PHS have recently identified data quality issues on the published statistics and users should be aware that these estimates have some errors. PHS are currently conducting detailed analysis of these data quality issues. PHS are working towards a publication date of Summer 2025 and updated publication plans will be announced on PHS Forthcoming Publications.
