Centre for the Moving Image insolvency: FOI release

Information requested

A copy of any correspondence, and notes of any meetings held between the Scottish Government, CS, Screen Scotland, and the Centre for the Moving Image between August 1 2022 and October 11 2022.

On 21 October 2022, you responded to our request for further clarity and you said that you are looking for “correspondence, and notes of any meetings between any of the first three organisations and CMI”, about “financing between the SG and any combination”. You also confirmed that you are requesting any records of correspondence and notes of meetings between external organisations that the Scottish Government holds.

Response

In your request you refer to “CS” which we have taken to mean Creative Scotland. You also provided clarification and we have responded on the basis of the further information you provided on 21 October 2022.

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section 38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information. This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
