Reassurance that individuals can challenge decisions that impact on them.

Protection of the safety and security of patients, and others in the NSAIS.

The impact of this policy will largely be on the NHS, the Tribunal and the Scottish Legal Aid Board. The ongoing costs across these bodies are estimated to be £9,941 per appeal case. This is based on costs for existing appeals.
