Overview

The £150 million Building Scotland Fund (BSF) intends to invest £70 million in financial years 2018 to 2019 and £80 million over financial years 2019 to 2021 by making loans and acquiring equity.  Loans will be at commercial rates or made in compliance with EU state aid regulations.

The Building Scotland Fund is actively seeking eligible opportunities for investment and the process for applications is detailed in this guide.

The Fund was announced in the Draft Budget 2018 to 2019 and is the precursor to the Scottish National Investment Bank.

Delivery of the fund

Public sector bodies involved in the delivery of the Building Scotland Fund are: the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the Scottish Funding Council and the Scottish Futures Trust.
