British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme (BICS): Renewables Obligation - child rights and wellbeing impact assessment
The CRWIA concludes that the proposed amendments to the Renewables Obligation (Scotland) Order 2009 are a technical change to implement BICS with no impact on children's rights or well-being. As no child-specific effects were identified, the assessment was screened out with a finding of no impact.

While the amendment has no impact on the wellbeing/rights of children or young people and is not expected to in the future, the operation of BICS will be subject to ongoing monitoring by the Department for Business and Trade who will be responsible for its management and administration.
