In Wave 82, businesses not permanently stopped trading were asked if they had experienced any difficulties recruiting employees in April 2023.
Figure 1: Difficulties in recruiting employees had been experienced by an estimated 40.5% of applicable businesses. The highest rates of recruitment difficulties were reported by businesses in the Construction (50.4%), Accommodation & Food Services (48.8%) and Information & Communication (47.9%) industry sectors.
