Business Insights and Conditions Survey (BICS) weighted Scotland estimates containing data to wave 61 (including data for Wave 60).


Business Concerns

In Wave 61 the BICS asked businesses about their main concerns in August 2022.

The proportion of businesses reporting that inflation of goods and services prices is the main concern for their business has increased slightly from 30.8% for July 2022 (Wave 58) to 32.7% for August 2022 (Wave 61). Inflation of goods and services prices, and energy prices have been the top reported concerns since this series began in March 2022 (Wave 51). Inflation of goods and services prices emerged as the main concern in May 2022 (Wave 56).
