Latest main findings for businesses with 10+ employees and a presence in Scotland

• the top concern for businesses for August 2025 was falling demand of goods and services (19.1%); although an estimated 21.6% of businesses had no concerns
• for an estimated 24.3% of businesses, the prices of materials, goods or services bought in June 2025 increased compared with May 2025
• an estimated 11.5% of businesses increased the prices of goods or services they sold in June 2025 compared with May 2025, down from 16.3% in the previous month
• an estimated 13.9% of businesses were expecting to increase the prices of goods or services sold in August 2025; labour costs was the top factor for businesses considering price increases (reported by 36.0%)
• in July 2025, an estimated 27.4% of businesses expected their business performance to increase over the next 12 months, the lowest percentage since November 2022
