In July 2025 businesses were asked how they expect their business’s overall performance to change over the next 12 months.

Figure 5: In July 2025, an estimated 27.4% of businesses expected their business performance to increase over the next 12 months, the lowest percentage since November 2022. An estimated 10.4% of businesses expected performance to decrease.
