“During this process we have had the chance to have proper contributions. It hasn’t just been an MS forms and we have had a direct impact. We have been able to be honest, not having to say something so adults get their own way.

We hope that this project and the new law means that children and young people can have more independence and take responsibility for their choices. It means the opportunity to build relationships between the school and child to inform their choices.

Children and young people won’t be shamed whether they choose to opt-in and opt-out, they will be supported to make the decision because of the law.”
