Avian influenza declaration: end of the surveillance zone, Leven

The Scottish Ministers declare an end to the surveillance zone near Leven.


Declaration 

On 12 February 2021 the Scottish Ministers declared, under article 26(1) of the Avian Influenza and Influenza of Avian Origin in Mammals (Scotland) Order 2006 (“the Order”) with effect from 13 February 2021, a Protection Zone and Surveillance Zone. In addition, the Scottish Ministers declared, in accordance with article 8 of the Avian Influenza (H5N1 in Poultry) (Scotland) Order 2007, a Restricted Zone under article 26(5) of the Order.

On 12 March 2021 the Scottish Ministers declared, under article 34(1) of the Order, the end of the Protection Zone and the revocation of the Restricted Zone.  

At least 30 days have elapsed since the completion at all infected premises within the Zones declared of the preliminary cleansing and disinfection measures referred to in Part 2 of schedule 3 of the Order. 

The Scottish Ministers declare, under article 34(3) of the Order, the end of the Surveillance Zone described in Annex 2 to the Declaration of 12 February 2021. 

The Declaration of Infected Premises, Protection Zone, Restricted Zone and Surveillance Zone made by Scottish Ministers on 12 February 2021 and the Declaration of End of Protection Zone and Revocation of Restricted Zone made by Scottish Ministers on 12 March 2021 are revoked.

This Declaration has effect from the time and date on which it is made.
