Asset transfer requests: notification of appeal decision to Scottish Ministers

An application for appeal under Section 88(2) of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 was made in writing in accordance with The Asset Transfer Request (Appeals) (Scotland) Regulations 2016 from The Garioch Partnership, first floor, Wyness Hall, Jackson Street, Inverurie, AB51 3QB. This appeal has now concluded.

The documents below relate to the appeal of the decision made by Aberdeenshire Council not to allow The Garioch Partnership to purchase the Former Market Place Primary School under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015. There is a link below to the initial decisions made by the Local Authority, and a list of supporting documents submitted by The Garioch Partnership is included in the first attachment. The report of the independent reporter who conducted the appeal on behalf of Scottish Ministers is also attached, alongside the final decision letter, issued on 16 October 2019.
