Now that the consultation is finished, the Scottish Government is taking time to consider the things that people said about the proposals.
They are going to make some changes to proposals that should make things clearer and improve the law.
The UK Government also wants to ban conversion practices.
The Scottish Government is talking to the UK Government to see if they could work together to make a ban that applies to England, Wales and Scotland.
If it is not possible to make the ban work together, the Scottish Government will keep working on making their own law.
