In relation to the Nature Scot Board Member appointment round advertised from 10 May 2022 with a closing date for applications of 30 May 2022 the following:

1. How many applications were received?
2. How many people have been selected for interview?
3. How many of the people selected for interview have experience of serving on, or chairing public sector audit committees?
4. How many candidates selected for interview have an accounting qualification?
5. How many candidates selected for interview have worked as a finance professional?
6. How many candidates selected for interview currently hold other public appointments ?
7. How many candidates selected for interview have previously held public appointments?
8. How many candidates selected for interview are current or former public sector employees?

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide the additional information you have requested in respect of those shortlisted for interview because an exemption under section 38(1)(a) personal data and section 38(1)(b) personal data the disclosure of which would contravene data protection principles of FOISA applies to this information. The reasons why this exemption applies is explained in the Annex to this letter.
