Coronavirus in Scotland

Stay safe, protect others, save lives.

New rules mean that you must not make indoor social visits to other households. From 25 September, pubs, bars and restaurants must close at 10pm. Read more about the new measures.

Scotland moved to Phase 3 of the route map for coming out of lockdown on the 10 July 2020.

You should:

  • wear a face covering
  • avoid crowded places
  • clean hands and surfaces regularly
  • stay 2m away from other people
  • self-isolate and book a test if you have COVID-19 symptoms

Scottish Government approach and strategy

Our approach is guided by the Chief Medical Officer, and we continue to monitor the situation closely and to work with the WHO and international community.

We are working with the Welsh Government, Northern Ireland Executive, and the UK Government to respond to the ongoing outbreak.
