Introduction
Her Majesty's Fire Service Inspectorate (HMFSI) is independent of Scottish Government and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).
It inspects and reports on the SFRS, with the purpose of assuring the public and Scottish Ministers that it is running effectively and efficiency.
These inspections cover local scrutiny, partnership working and engagement between SFRS and councils. They also include thematic review inspections.
