Multiyear Statistics on Smoking Prevalence

Multiyear Scottish Survey Core Questions (MySSCQ) pools survey data across multiple years, providing sufficient sample to analyse smoking prevalence at electoral ward, and Scottish- and UK-parliament constituency levels.

(Note that the Scottish Health Survey remains the source of the National Performance Framework indicator)

The table below contains links to tables and maps of smoking rates at various resolutions across Scotland.

For details of the methodology to combine multiple years of data see the MySSCQ page. 

Note that electoral wards were revised in 2017 but the older classification is used for these data, in line with the date of collection. Please use Electoral Wards 2007-2016
