An initial scoping study for a Scottish TSA was carried out in the first half of 2003 by Professor Iain McNicoll of Strathclyde University. This produced a framework for the account, and raised issues for further research. It contains background information on TSAs. Click here to download the report.
A preliminary TSA has now been produced for Scotland, and the methodology and results are described in an article in Scottish Economic Statistics 2004. Feedback on this is invited. Click here to download the article. Further background on the details of this work will be posted on this website soon. Meanwhile please contact us if you have any queries.
Work on a 2001 TSA will continue, following feedback on assumptions, methodology and priorities for further development.
