Pilot Areas

The following integration authorities undertook pilots to test implementation of different provisions in the Carers Act:

These pilots ran between April and October 2017. The pilots were monitored and evaluated, and learning has been shared, including the report on the right hand side of this page and through the guidance on the Act.

In addition, four additional pilot areas worked on the hospital discharge provision of the Act:

  • Aberdeen;
  • Argyll & Bute
  • Dumfries & Galloway
  • West Dunbartonshire
