Scotland's new policy statement on architecture and place sets out the comprehensive value good design can deliver. Successful places can unlock opportunities, build vibrant communities and contribute to a flourishing economy. The document contains an action plan that sets out the work that will be taken forward to achieve positive change.
The statement is in four parts: 1. The value of architecture and place, 2. Consolidation and ambition, 3. A strategy for architecture and place, 4. Resources, communications and monitoring. Part 4 includes a link to on-line information and resources relating to architecture and place at www.creatingplacesscotland.org. This website is the main means of communicating on policy implementation and charting on-going progress.
