DescriptionLiteracy results from the 2012 Survey which covers assessment of school pupils at stages P4, P7 and S2 in reading, writing and listening & talking. Questionnaire results from a pupil and a teacher questionnaire are also provided.

Reading, writing and pupil and teacher questionnaire results in this report have been subject to revisions (April 2015).  Therefore the figures in this report have been superseded.  Please refer to the SSLN 2012 supplementary tables for all revised figures.

We would like to thank the 10,100 pupils and 4,900 teachers in the 2,100 schools who took part in SSLN 2012.
