Evaluation of the Implementation of Local Area Co-ordination in Scotland

We would like to thank all the local area co-ordinators, their managers and colleagues in other agencies who took part in this research. Special thanks are due to the local area co-ordinators who arranged and hosted our case study visits and to the individuals and families who met with us during those visits. We are also grateful to managers in authorities which have not appointed local area co-ordinators for giving up their time to answer our questions. Lisa Curtice, Director of the Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability, drew up the research specification and offered helpful advice and information throughout the study. Mike Wilson carried out data coding, entry and analysis of the Information Sheets, Pam Lavery provided secretarial support and Dot Kirkham, Karen Stewart and Morag Calder transcribed interview data.
