This dashboard summarises the most recent official statistics as of August 2020 on people claiming and starting on Universal Credit in Scotland, taken directly from the Department of Work and Pension’s collection of Universal Credit Statistics. This includes the number of people receiving the benefit, attempting to make a new claim and successfully starting a new claim. Statistics are also provided on unemployment benefits and the Benefit Cap across Scotland. Headline figures for each set of statistics are broken down by a variety of characteristics, including the age, gender, location and family structure of claimants.
