Teacher vacancies 2016 to 2017

The table below is a snapshot of advertised vacancies for local authority teaching posts as at 20 September 2017. The statistics also show posts that had been first advertised more than three months before and remained unfilled on 20 September 2017.

It should be noted that the vacancy figures are inflated in 2017 by the inclusion in some areas of Pupil Equity Funding (PEF) additional posts, most notably in Glasgow City Council.
