Key Points
Uptake of free school meals was 70.4 per cent on survey day in 2023 (67.2 per cent in 2022).
Uptake of school meals (free or paid for) was 53.4 per cent on survey day in 2023 (49.9 per cent in 2022).
99 per cent of schools (>99 per cent of primary and 95 per cent of secondary schools) met the target level of PE provision in 2023 (99 per cent in 2022).
No school meals data was collected for 2021
