Review of Alcohol Licensing Fees

The aim of the research was to evaluate the current alcohol licensing fees regime and consider the efficacy of other potential structures to inform the Scottish Government’s proposed reform of the fees regime

1. The Regulatory Review Group (RRG) was set up in December 2004 to examine the issue of regulation. This independent group is made up of representatives from all of the main business organisations in Scotland. The Group's work involves identifying regulations that are causing business concern, formulating a strategic approach and investigating areas for review.

2. Numbers do not total 32 as some respondents provided more than one job title.

3. No response received from Aberdeenshire, Angus, City of Glasgow or South Ayrshire.
