Clarifies procedures underpinning the Scottish building standards system as set out in the Building (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and the Building (Scotland) Act 2003 to help with practical operation.

Title: The Scottish Building Standards Procedural Handbook Third Edition
Purpose: The Procedural Handbook provides clarification on the procedures underpinning the Scottish building standards system as set out in the Building (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and the Building (Scotland) Act 2003 to assist with practical operation.
Supplementary guidance: We also produce supplementary guidance documents that relate closely to the procedural handbook and should be read in conjuction with the third edition:
- procedural guidance on certification including information to be submitted with a building warrant application
- procedural guidance on crown buildings
