Overview

A single supplier framework for the provision of mobile client devices and associated services.

What is in scope

This framework covers:

  • entry level laptops
  • corporate laptops
  • ultraportable laptops
  • mobile workstations

All services associated with deployment of mobile client devices, together with a range of upgrades, downgrades and accessories.

What is out of scope

The framework does not include:

  • desktop client devices
  • tablet devices
  • web based and proprietary devices
  • servers
  • storage area networks
  • telecoms
  • peripherals (which are not included at the point of order)

There are separate frameworks for desktop, web based and proprietary, and technology peripherals and infrastructure.

Who can use this

The framework can be used by:

  • central government
  • health
  • local authorities
  • universities and colleges
  • third sector
  • other public bodies
     

Note: It is the responsibility of any buying organisation wishing to use the framework to satisfy itself that it is eligible to do so.

Entitlement can be established from the terms of the contract notice published on Public Contracts Scotland.

Education Licence Discount – Shape the Future

The Scottish Government has put in place an agreement with Microsoft to be part of their Shape the Future education program.  This is designed to provide education customers with a widows platform which can support learning in primary and secondary schools.

The Shape the Future program allows qualifying K12 education organisations (which includes private primary and secondary schools in Scotland) to purchase devices with discounted Windows Pro licenses from Microsoft’s partners. Only purchases made for qualifying educational use are eligible

This provision of the Shape the Future education programme scheme will be facilitated through the Mobile Client Device Framework with HP Inc UK Ltd.
