The Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care, Neil Gray MSP today announced the reappointment of Ketki Miles as a Member of Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Board.

Member

Ketki Miles

Ketki has 32 years’ experience working for a global financial services organisation.

She has worked in a wide range of senior leadership roles in the UK, Europe, Asia and the US, with experience in working with diverse and dispersed teams. Ketki brings strengths in operational leadership, strategy, and change management andholds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. She has an appreciation of the challenges the NHS faces nationally and in Greater Glasgow and Clyde and is looking forward to continuing to make a contribution to the Board.

Reappointment

This reappointment will be for 4 years and will run from 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2028.

This reappointment is regulated by the Ethical Standards Commissioner.

Remuneration

This reappointment is part-time and attracts a remuneration of £9,030 for a time commitment of 52 days per year.

Ketki Miles does not hold any other public appointments.

Political activity

All appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process.  However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity within the last five years (if there is any to be declared) to be made public.   

Ketki Miles has had no political activity within the last five years.

Background

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the largest health system in Scotland and one of the largest in the UK.  It is responsible for meeting the health needs of around 1.14m people living in the area, and provides a comprehensive range of community and hospital based services for the population.
