Residence of Scottish Government Special Advisors: FOI release

Information requested

1. The number of current Scottish Government Special Advisors who have their permanent residence outside of Scotland.

2. The number of current Scottish Government Special Advisors who have undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from non-Scottish Universities, broken down into a table, and listing the universities in question.

Response

Response to question 1:

The home addresses of all employees are recorded on our HR System. According to information recorded on our HR system as at March 2024, there are no Special Advisers who have a home address outside of Scotland.

Response to question 2:

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
