Information requested

Since the launch of the Scottish Government funded LGBT+ Helpline Scotland in June 2023, how many people, by month, have contacted the helpline to date?

Of these people, how many have contacted the helpline specifically for support with conversion practices?

Lastly, how many documented calls have been made by those under the age of 16?

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested.

LGBT Health & Wellbeing collate information on the number of calls they receive through LGBT Helpline Scotland quarterly, with the information held covering the period 1 June to 31 December 2023. Therefore, it is not possible to provide you with a breakdown of the number of calls received for each month from June as the information is not available.

However, for Q2 and Q3 in 2023, LGBT Helpline Scotland received 593 and 602 calls, respectively. The total of number of calls received for both quarters is 1195.

The total number of calls LGBT Helpline Scotland received specifically relating to support with conversion practices for the period 1 June to December 2023 is 29.

For the period 1 June to December 2023, there were 0 documented calls made by those under 16.
