Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002


Information requested

A full copy of any and all communications between the Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates and the below listed persons and organisations concerning the UK Governments recent allowance of home abortions under the guise of counter Coronavirus measures:

Matt Hancock MP
UK Department of Health
British Government
Royal College of Midwives
British Pregnancy Advisory Service
Any of any other 11 known UK wide organisations.

Please include any communications of this type that detail interaction between the service concerning the stated subject matter and any MSP, the Scottish Government or the Parliament of Scotland.

Response

A copy of the releasable material that is within the scope of your request is contained in Annex B.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide most of the information you have requested because exemptions under the following sections of FOISA apply to that information:

Section 28(1) (relations within the United Kingdom)
Section 30(c) (the effective conduct of public affairs)
Section 38(1)(b) (personal information)
