Information requested
"We understand that there are two public bodies are interested in acquiring land at the Hartwood Farm. We would wish to make a formal Freedom of Information request that we be informed who these parties are."
Response
As you are aware, James Hutton Institute have vacated Hartwood Home Farm. Under the Scottish Public Finance Manual, before disposal Scottish Government are obliged to check for interest from other public sector bodies in having the property transferred to them. Forestry and Land Scotland indicated that they wished to take the site and the current intention is to transfer the title to them in the course of this year. Currently no other public body is interested in purchasing Hartwood Home Farm.
