Response

Has the Scottish Government supported or worked with the Education Endowment Foundation?

Yes. As part of the Scottish Government’s Research Strategy for Scottish Education, Education Scotland partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) to introduce the Learning and Teaching Toolkit to the Scottish school system. The toolkit, a contextualised version of EEF’s Teaching and Learning Toolkit, presents accessible summaries of global research on 35 different educational approaches. Each approach is summarised in terms of its average impact on learning, the strength of the supporting evidence, and the relative cost. The toolkit was launched in 2017 with a 3 year contract with the EEF. This contract comes to end on 31st March 2020.

Has it funded them, or awarded grants, or used their consultants, in the past 5-10 years?

Yes. Annual Attainment Scotland Funding of £68,000 has/is being provided between 2017/18 and 2019/20
