1/ On what dates was the above post interviews undertaken?
2/ Who sat on the interview panel?
3/ Did anyone on the interview panel declare any interests regarding relationships and/or friendships etc. with any of the interviewees?
4/ Did any panel interviewer excuse themselves from the decision making process regarding picking the successful candidate?
5/ Did any of the interviewing panel know the successful candidate and support their appointment?

The interview for the post was undertaken on 20 June 2019.
2/ Who sat on the interview panel?

3/ Did anyone on the interview panel declare any interests regarding relationships and/or friendships etc. with any of the interviewees?
No panel member declared a relationship or friendship with the interviewee.
4/ Did any panel interviewer excuse themselves from the decision making process regarding picking the successful candidate?
No panel member excused themselves from the decision-making process.
5/ Did any of the interviewing panel know the successful candidate and support their appointment?
The successful candidate was known to two members of the panel in a work capacity. The panel decision on supporting the successful candidate’s appointment was unanimous.
6/ Finally, what was the name of the successful candidate as this should be on public record?

REASONS FOR NOT PROVIDING INFORMATION
An exemption applies
An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested. The exemption covers requests for information about the personal data relating to a third party. Disclosing it would contravene the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation and in section 34(1) of the Data Protection Act 2018.  This exemption is not subject to the ‘public interest test’, so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
