Response

I can advise that Humza Yousaf, the then Minister for Transport and the Islands, did not attend such a meeting on 3 November 2017. However, he did visit the Ferguson Marine Engineering Ltd shipyard on that date and met with representatives of Ferguson Marine Engineering Ltd and Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd. Officials from Transport Scotland also attended to support the Minister. Following this visit, Jim McColl, the Chair of Clyde Blowers Capital, wrote to Humza Yousaf on 6 November 2017. The Minister wrote on 9 November 2017 to the Convenor of the Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee regarding the progress of the two new ferries for the Clyde and Hebrides ferry service network. A copy of this letter has been published on the Scottish Parliament website and can be found by using the undernoted link:-
