First Minister's statement on refugees: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

FOI reference: FOI/18/00050
Date received: 28 December 2017
Date responded: 11 January 2018

Information requested

Has the First Minister taken in any refugees as she promised too much personal publicity she would????

Response

As per your previous request of 13 March 2016, I can confirm the answer remains the same. There are currently no refugee families staying with the First Minister as there has been no requirement for this assistance to date. The First Minister has made it clear that she would be willing to take in refugees, if necessary, like the many thousands of Scots who have already pledged their support. This remains the position.
