North Lanarkshire

New rules for Scotland mean that you must not make indoor social visits to other households. From 25 September, pubs, bars and restaurants must close at 10pm. Read more about the new measures.

People and businesses in areas with local restrictions should follow this national guidance, as well as the following additional local measures which remain in place:  

Self-isolating

If you are contacted by Test and Protect and identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you and everyone in your (extended) household should self-isolate for 14 days.

Care homes visit

Care home visits are restricted to outdoors only, with a maximum of 3 people from no more than 2 households, and essential indoor visits. 

Essential indoors visits in care homes can continue for end of life situations or exceptional circumstances including those who are experiencing stress and distress.

Hospital visits

Hospital visits are restricted to essential only. This includes:

  • a birth partner supporting a woman during hospital visits
  • for a person receiving end-of-life care
  • to support someone with a mental health issues such as dementia
  • to accompany a child in hospital
