Michelle Macleod, HM Chief Inspector
Michelle Macleod was appointed as Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Prosecution in August 2013 after working in the Fiscal Service for 21 years. Michelle joined the Fiscal Service in 1992 as a trainee and has held various roles across Scotland, including Area Procurator Fiscal for Central, Head of Policy at Crown Office and most recently Procurator Fiscal, High Court, East Federation.
Carolyn Sharp, Personal Assistant to HM Chief Inspector
Carolyn joined Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) in January 2002 having previously worked for Glasgow City Council in secretarial and administrative roles. She worked within Glasgow Procurator Fiscal's Office as Fiscal Officer and latterly deputised as PA to Area Procurator Fiscal.
Carolyn joined the IPS in October 2003.
Kate Neill, Business Inspector
Kate joined Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in 1986 and worked in administration at the Dumfries, Ayr and Glasgow Procurator Fiscal Offices. She transferred to the Crown Office Internal Audit Unit in September 1994 where she qualified as an internal auditor and remained there until she joined the Scottish Executive Audit Services in December 2004.
Kate joined the IPS in July 2005.
Helen Johnson, Legal Inspector
Helen joined Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in 2005 after working in private practice after completing her traineeship there. She was based in the Aberdeen Office where she was a Depute and Senior Depute working in all aspects of Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service including High Court Sitting Manager in Aberdeen for 18 months.
Helen joined the IPS in August 2015 on secondment from COPFS.
Dawn Lewington, Assistant Inspector
Dawn joined the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in 1994. She worked in both the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices before undertaking a number of specialist roles in Crown Office which included working in the Appeals Unit and more recently in Policy Division.
Dawn joined the IPS in May 2016 on secondment from COPFS.
